Spinning on the Porch

This is my new Ashford Traveler spinning wheel.  It was such a lovely day I just decided to take it outside for a spin.

  1. To my fellow goat enthusiasts: Just checking in after exploring again on your website. Your site popped up when I was doing some online surfing….I agree with your grandma. You all are doing a wonderful job! It is so thrilling to see how much you have grown and progressed in both your knowledge and skills throughout the years. You have a very nice website, and I congratulate you on all your many successes!

    Many blessings to you!

  2. Hello I stumbled upon this website. My family and moved to ky last year. We homestead and are looking to eventually buy a good milk goat. Will you or someone you know have one available at some point? Also, do you ever give tours of your farm or give soap making lessons. I homeschool and would be interested in something like that. Thank you and God bless.

    1. Hi Megan,

We would love to give your family a farm tour. We have not made soap, but we could definitely teach you how to make several different kinds of cheese (mozzarella, ricotta, chèvre, etc.) Let us know if you would be interested. We are a homeschool family as well and always love to meet other homeschool families and pass on whatever knowledge we can. We do not have any milking does available at this time, but we have 11 high quality dairy does that we will be breeding to a very nice buck this fall. So we will have lots of kids available this coming spring that will make excellent milking goats. They will all be coming from a buck who’s dam gives 2 gallons of milk a day and has 5 national champions plus a total performer in his pedigree.

  3. Can’t wait to get a spinning wheel so we can spin together! Still need shearing. Any news on buying shears? Let me know it is so hot. Your web site is lovely. Hope you will visit soon for fishing & fun w horses.

  4. I just checked out your website and I think it is amazing! You girls are doing a wonderful job. I am so proud of you! Love you bunches Grandma
