Who We Are

Lenore Thorne, LVMT

Full-Time Field Worker With the Christian Veterinary Mission in Mongolia

Former Owner/Manager at Our Father’s Gift Farm

Lenore has always been passionate about agriculture and education, teaching classes at Our Father’s Gift Farm in subjects ranging from animal processing to wool art. This passion for animals and agriculture led her to pursue degrees in veterinary technology and animal science. She graduated with an associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Volunteer State Community College in 2020, and a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, with a concentration in Animal Science from Tennessee Technological University in 2022. She is also a licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Tennessee.

Lenore is the primary manager of Our Father’s Gift Farm in Tennessee and helped grow the operation from just a few animals to over a hundred between the years of 2016-2022. She loves selling amazing animal products and art through the Our Father’s Gift Etsy shop and connecting with customers across the United States and abroad.

Lenore recently spent the summers of 2022 and 2023 working in Mongolia teaching veterinary skills, livestock management, and English through the Christian Veterinary Mission. She fell in love with this country and its amazing people and has transitioned to full-time work in Mongolia. Although she misses her livestock at Our Father’s Gift Farm, she is excited to be able to pursue missions full-time.

In her spare time, she also loves cooking, especially unique foods from foreign cultures.
